All students are encouraged to read and study whatever they deem necessary for their own growth. Librarians and libraries exist to bring information to their students; at no point during your time in this library will any text or source of information be censored from you. You have a right to read.

The Freedom to Read Statement - The American Library Association's (ALA) amended statement, originally published in 1953.
Banned Books Week - Information from ALA about Banned Books Week which takes place in September.
The Library Bill of Rights - Originally adopted in 1939, the ALA's six statements about equal access to information through the libraries of the United States.
